Sharks and Tarpon Killed for Sport

This is one of the very, very few non-bonefish related posts you’ll find here… but I just couldn’t resist posting this.  I read today in the Florida Fly Fishing Magazine Blog about the Sarasota Shark Tournament.  Not only does the tournament require sharks to be killed and gutted prior to weigh-ins, but some competitors appear to have purchased tarpon tags to use tarpon as CHUM for sharks.
