My Saltwater Trips

OK… here is where I’ll lay out the various trips I’ve been on in pictures.

The first trip didn’t result in any fish landed. I did, however, see my first bonefish and the spark was lit.

After seeing my first bonefish, I had to catch one. For that, I went to Grand Bahama Island.

One trip in to Grand Bahama, and I had to go back.

Branching out… I went to Belize with my friend Shane and somehow I managed a Grand Slam.

I missed FIBFest I, but I made it to FIBFest II

Post Andros it was time for some changes on the domestic front and post-all-that-crap I had to head back to Kauai to try and find the fish. The fish won.

As the blog started catching on, more amazing opportunities came my way, Cuba among them.

Good things keep happening to me and that meant a honeymoon and Belize, again.

Spring Break with the new fam, and, unknowingly, the last trip I’d have with my mom.

Made it back to Florida in 2013 in search of big tarpon. Saw some. Jumped one. Mostly got rained on.

I hosted a trip to Greenwich Creek Lodge on Long Island. Lots of bones caught on a memorable trip, my first to Long Island.

On a short family trip to the Keys I managed to get out on the water with friends Derek and Dan. My first redfish followed.

Spring Break again, this time to Abaco. Got to fish out of Abaco Lodge with my dad. Great trip.

Back to Florida. Fewer tarpon seen, just as much rain. Tough trip in search of those big girls.

A lodge/DIY trip to Abaco in February. Fished out of Abaco Lodge and had a few days DIY with friend Aaron.

Finally got to get after some LA reds with Capt. Ron. Great fishery.

Back to Belize, this time Spring Break with just my 10 year old daughter. Weather was iffy, but bonefish were caught off the Caye Caulker dock.

A trip with a rather mixed legacy, a trip with my first peacocks from Ft. Lauderdale and a night-tarpon session on Biscayne Bay.

I break my oi’o curse with Capt. Kenny on this family trip to Oahu.

Hot days in Mexico with Capt. Nick Denbow and a couple DIY days around Mahahual.
