I’ll be at the Fly Fishing Show in Pleasanton today. I’ll be casting rods and spinning reels (that’s what you do when you are looking at new reels) and shooting the breeze with all sorts of people, friends old and new.
I don’t really pay attention to the seminars, I’m really there for the people. These are my people. Half will be dressed as if they are going to hit the water. The uniform will be in full effect. Of course, the crowd will be a bit old, as is normal for these sorts of things.
Basically, I’m going to enjoy myself.
I’ll be sporting my new “Tarponist” shirt from SWC, if you are looking for me there.

Went yesterday and had a good time. If you need feathers, stop and see Dave Roberts at the Feather Emporium. We chatted up Cheryl at the Bahamas Tourism booth and tried to talk her out of a couple of Kaliks but she said she needed them for her booth. Maybe stop by late in the day and see if she has them iced down yet. They’re offering some reasonably good package deals to some of the outer islands – essentially bok 3 or 4 days and get free air fare from Nassau.
Dude, they total misspelled “fashionista”. That must be embarrassing…
I rocked that shirt.
Doug, I spent some time talking to the Bahamas folks. Got a Kalik too!
