Mahahual 2017

I had my first fly fishing trip to Mexico in 2017. I went to Mahahual with my dad and it was hot. I mean, temperature-wise, it was damn hot!

Fish were caught, including my dad’s first tarpon and my first trigger, thanks to guide Nick Denbow. Big fish were seen. Permit were seen. Eyes are all I got to put on the permit and big tarpon though. It was tough, partly because of the time of year. I’m curious to see this place at a slightly less warm time of year.
