  1. My wife and I are leaving for Belize next week, for a couple of weeks. We’ll be on Caye Caulker the first week and in Hopkins the second week. Planning a lot of DIY fishing with 1 day of guiding in each location. We also like to snorkel and will do a day trip to the jungle. So not a full time fishing trip, but I hope to catch a lot of bonefish and maybe some small tarpon or even possibly a permit. We will have a range fly gear from 6 to 9wts. We like to fish for anything with the fly so maybe even some jacks and barracuda.

  2. Louisiana in a couple of weeks for big reds. Hope to sneak down to Abaco or South Andros sometime in February or March. The Okefenokee in early April for bowfin and maybe the Driftless later that month (if Mary wants to go visit family up that way). Tennessee for the Hardly, Strickly Musky in May.

That pretty well takes care of Spring. Thinking about Summer…

  3. I want to be you when I grow up. Oddly… I may just be in NOLA in three weeks, but for work, not for chasing big reds, alas.

  4. Can’t wait to hear about it.

  5. Exuma in Late March……..Maine the rest of the year, Stripers in the mid Coast and the big Brookies in Rangeley. Took my wife to Caye Caulker this past April and caught my 1st Tarpon.

  6. Awesome. We’ll be back in Caye Caulker for Spring Break.

  7. Trip to Islamorada for tarpon in early June is booked, that’s the big one. I have an unnatural need to catch a tarpon. Maybe Montana in late September for trout in the Yellowstone region. Otherwise it’s striped bass in Maine and Cape Cod, along with forays to northern Maine for brook trout, landlocked salmon, browns and rainbows. Back to the Bahamas next year!
