Comrades!

OK… here’s the scoop. I got invited on a press tour of a Caribbean island that has a fair bit of history, some really old cars and a so-so history with the old Red, White and Blue.

That’s right. I’m headed to Cuba in April.

The trip will be through Yellow Dog Fly Fishing Adventures and the destination will be the Tortuga in the Jardines de la Reina.

Yeah, I’m a lucky SOB.

As you can imagine, I’m pretty excited.  I’ll keep you posted as things progress.

Flies are being tied. Gear being checked out. I’m getting in “go” mode.

  2. Good for you. Rumor has it you can get a good cigar there as well and a decent rum to celebrate the day’s catch.

  3. Dude Have a great time. Bones are big, cubera bigger. Cigars sweet and rum sweeter. People are amazing. Don’t forget to take extra goodies for the kids

  4. Wow! That’s going to be an amazing trip. Enjoy! Make sure to get Yellow Dog working on how the rest of us non-media folks can get there.

  8. Hey!, that’s my buddy Italo (lemon shirt) in that video!.

Been to Cuba 1/2 dozen time Bjorn, beautiful country and even better people. You’ll enjoy it so much.

Bring a head-net and bug dope (deet) for the mosquitoes…it’s near impossible to double-haul while smacking mozzies with your stripping hand.

Take “lots” of pictures of everything…they’ll be your reminders of just how badly you want to go back.

    Have fun,

    Henry
