A real purdy boat

I like boats.  I don’t have one, but I like them.  I like the look of them.  I like being on them.  My favorite place in the whole world (at least that I can talk about) is on the bow of a flats boat.  It means I’m after bonefish.  I’m somewhere that is probably pretty awesome.  Good things are afoot.

Hell’s Bay makes some really good looking boats… really, really nice.

That’s the Marquesa Advantage and it looks awesome.  It costs more than 2x what my new Mazda costs, but I’ll bet it is more fun.

Bonefish and Tarpon Trust, Hell’s Bay Boat, Dec. 31

If you want to win a sweet skiff from Hell’s Bay and want to support THE biggest supporter of bonefish (and tarpon and permit) out there… well… your time is running out.  Dec. 31st is the deadline to enter the drawing.  Entering the drawing is the same thing as cutting a check to BTT, which, if you are reading this… you probably should do.  No… really… do it.  Do it because they are doing good work and think of the boat drawing as a possible bonus (cause, ya know… there’s only one and the odds aren’t with you).

Here are the details.

I want this... although I have no idea what I'd actually do with it.

Provenance – Hells Bay Whipray

Provenance, from the French provenir, “to come from”, means the origin, or the source of something, or the history of the ownership or location of an object.

Dude… this boat once belonged to Tim Borski.

If it was good enough for Borski, it is good enough for you.

This boat was posted up by the good folks over at Skinny Water Culture.  Check it out.  Buy it.  Take me fishing.

Want a Hell's Bay Skiff for $100?

Hell’s Bay makes some good looking boats.  I’m sure they are impressive.  What if you could get a Waterman (a $33,000 boat) for $100?  That would be kind of kick ass, no?

Well… you can… if you are the lucky winner of the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust’s Sweepstakes.  Basically, if you are a first-time member and join at the $100 level, you get put in the drawing.  If you are a renewing member and come in at $250 or higher, you are in the drawing.

In addition to the big prize, there are a monthly drawings for gear from companies like Sage, Orvis, Tibor, Redington, Penn and Temple Fork Outfitters.

So… join, now.  That’s some mighty good shwag and if you are reading this, BTT is probably an organization that should be getting your support.
